WHAT IS THIS WEBSITE ALL ABOUT?

First, you will find general information on several different healing
modalities and systems which I have used for almost 30 years in my
private practice.  But more importantly, you will learn how to move beyond
health.  Regardless why a person may be ill, healing is needed on the
physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.  There is no exception to
this rule.  Healing is on a continuum.  In other words, the idea that we are
either sick or healthy is erroneous and dangerous.  It is not a "black or
white" situation.  So why IS it dangerous, and just what is BEYOND
HEALING? You'll have your answers shortly.

What's a Meta for? (The metaphor of the pyramid)

I remember taking a seminar many years ago.  The instructor was making a
point about how the practitioner always must look for the cause behind
the cause in order to really heal. The instructor walked to the far left edge
of a chalk board that spanned the entire room and started writing the
words, always look for the cause behind the cause behind the cause
behind the cause…..etc.  He continued until he’d filled the entire board. It
took almost a full minute of writing.  That may have seemed like overkill to
some, but I got the point.

That seminar changed my practice forever in two ways.  It allowed a buried
intuitive ability to emerge that launched me into a new field called Psionic
medicine.  And secondly, it showed me that there are many layers or levels
to each and every patient’s problems that stretch light years beyond their
symptoms or issues that are visible to the naked eye.

One day the metaphor of the pyramid came to mind.  The pyramid is made
up of many stones stacked on top of one another. But as you move
towards the top, fewer and fewer stones are used.  Eventually, at the top
there is only one stone, called the capstone.  Can you see where this is
going?  The higher up you go, the fewer the stones.  The more energetic
or “spiritualized” a treatment is, the simpler the treatment.  Also, the
closer you get to a complete healing.  And how do you really know when
you are working on THE cause and not just another symptom?  When you
reach the capstone, of course. So what IS the capstone?  And what was my
motivation?  For starters, I had become a seminar junkie.  When I started
noticing that no one could mention any type of technique or healing
approach that I hadn’t studied, trained in, or mastered, I realized I had
gone down the primrose path.  To the untrained observer I appeared
infinitely knowledgeable and skilled, but I came to realize that there was
    no end.

There would always be a new herb, a new procedure, a new product, a
new approach, a new gizmo or gadget that supposedly held the promise of
complete healing.  And even though the symptoms may have
disappeared,  making both the practitioner and patient happy, this
question remained....was the cause behind the cause behind the cause
corrected?  And not to confuse matters, what if the proverbial devil’s
advocate springs into action and asks, so what?  So what if the cause
wasn’t addressed?  Isn’t the goal of any practitioner to help guide his or
her patients out of the realm of suffering?  After all, who wants to be in
pain?  Who wants to worry about dying of some dreaded disease like
    cancer?

To address this dilemma, one has to delve deeply into the very roots of
who we are and why we are here.  And few people are at the point where
they would even think of these questions, much less want these
questions answered.  But these are “the answers” that, quite literally, are
the gold at the end of the rainbow.  It is the answers to the questions,
“Who are we and why are we here?”, that brings us full circle to our
earlier question, what is beyond healing?

We will talk about this question on a couple of levels.  First of all, we can
talk about "beyond healing" in the context of symptoms.  In other words,
beyond symptoms.  Most would take this to mean the following.....now I'm
    in pain.....now I'm not.

Let's say you have a headache or backache.  These two conditions are
merely symptoms, of course.  You take an aspirin, and in 20 min. the
headache or backache disappears.  What could possibly be wrong with
this?  The problem is that we want to move beyond symptoms, beyond
"healing" so to speak.  The symptom is the messenger.  It tells you
something is wrong, out-of-balance, not quite right.  Your job is to listen to
the message and try to discover what  underlying meaning is being
presented.  But modern medicine has brainwashed all of us into thinking
that healing is simply the eradication of a symptom.  So why would anyone
want to explore the message of the symptom if they've been told that the
symptom is all that needs to be fixed?  How can you "fix" a symptom?
Philosophically speaking, you can't "fix" a symptom because it's a message.

There are at least 300 causes of headaches and backaches.  Some of
these causes are self limiting, but some will be progressive.  In other
words, they will continue to fester, continue to grow into something ugly
that will come back to bite you later. And it will all be because you only
treated the symptom.  If I noticed you were heading for a brick wall in a
blind alley at 100 m.p.h., I would want to help you avoid the approaching
tragedy.  I would want you to hit the brakes and come to a full and safe
stop.  I would most certainly not have you simply slow down to 80 m.p.h.
What kind of solution would that be?  Well, that's exactly what you are
doing when you treat only the symptom.  This is one reason why you need
to move beyond symptoms....beyond the traditional definition of healing.

On another level, let's talk about the possibility that when you look at
yourself in the mirror in the morning, you are not really seeing "all of who
you are".  What if there was more to you than just a physical body.  And to
keep things simple at the moment, let's say we have only two parts....a
physical part and a spiritual part. In other words, a part that's visible, and a
part that's not visible.  And what if this invisible part had access to
information that could guide you and be invaluable to you and could be
used by you to be happy and healthy.  In just what manner do you suppose
    this invisible part might communicate?

I would like to suggest that just maybe we all have sort of a 6th sense that
helps us out at times.  There are many beliefs that surround this issue and
everyone seems to have their opinions on this topic.  But I think most
people would agree there is a "something" that's there that can be looked
to for help or guidance.  Is it possible that any illness.....all illnesses are
simply a communication of sorts letting us know we are "off track" in some
way in our lives?  If a train goes off its tracks the passengers know
immediately.  But when it comes to our health....our physical, emotional,
mental or spiritual well-being, we don't always know right away that we've
stepped off our path.  There are many reasons for this.

Sometimes the path we step onto seems to feel good.  It feeds our ego in
some way.  It may even actually "look" better than the path we were on.
That old path may have been difficult, boring, maybe even a little
dangerous. And this new path looks fun and exciting.  But this path
eventually runs into a dead end, thereby showing us we just wasted a lot
of valuable time.  Or, worse, we actually get into some serious trouble and
have to fight our way back to where we started. There are no mistakes,
only learnings, but most of us would like to get through life with as few
scrapes as possible.  (click on the THOUGHTS button and read "The Hole".)

It's like the two surfers that are riding a huge wave...half way to shore one
falls off his board and is rolled along the ocean floor.  The coral cuts him
up pretty good, but he does role up on shore.  He reaches the same
destination the other surfer does, but obviously, the other surfer looks
and feels a lot better.  So what was most important, the destination, or the
    process?

If a symptom is simply a communication or warning that's telling us that we
need to make a change of some kind, whether it's on a physical, emotional,
mental or spiritual level, doesn't it make sense to find out what the
message is, instead of simply trying to eradicate the symptom?  This might
sound like an exaggeration, but it really isn't.  Imagine the city or county
sending a person over to your house.  He knocks on your door,
interrupting your dinner.  Before he has a chance to tell you that a tornado
is on its way, you fling open the door and hit him in the head with a iron
skillet, knocking him out cold.  I know that sounds silly, but it's just as silly
to take an antibiotic, a drug for blood sugar, a pill for high blood pressure,
or some potion or elixir for a headache or low back ailment without also
finding out the CAUSE.  And this goes for ANY treatment of any kind,
whether it's "all natural" or not; it doesn't matter.
