HOMEOPATHY
My Story

When I graduated in 1979 and opened my practice soon after, one of my first exposures to holistic
medicine was classical homeopathy.  I took a course from Bghat Singh, M.D.  He had a practice in New
York city.  I also became a patient of his at the same time.  Needless to say, I became a huge fan of
homeopathy immediately.  Dr. Singh was around 80 years old at the time, even though he looked 50!

He sent me a history form that was approximately 60 pages long.  After he went over it he
recommended by phone the remedy I needed.  I'd order the medicine and put 3 pellets under my
tongue then start my wait.  Without fail, on the second day I'd have a healing reaction.  Some of them
were really rough.  On one reaction I thought I was going to die (not really, but it felt that way).  Who
would have thought it was only a placebo effect?  (I'm being sarcastic....we'll cover this in a few
moments)  After about 3 weeks I'd call Dr. Singh and he'd tell me the next remedy to take.  As I
remember, he never missed the mark.  It seemed so easy.  Well, read on.

I soon found out that classical prescribing, which is what he practiced (classical homeopathy) was very
difficult to learn.  I also discovered why they called it the science and "art" of homeopathy.

After a few years, I finally moved into another field called German Energetic Medicine.  This system was
different in two ways.  First, I learned to test with electronic scanning equipment.  Secondly, this system
tended to use many, many remedies that were NOT in the United States Homeopathic
Pharmacopoeia.  They were also used in combination in the same bottle.  I refer to this as modern or
complex homeopathy.  Keep in mind, a classical prescribing homeopath would call it "wrong".  I think
there is a place for both.  I understand why the classical prescribers have a problem with complex
homeopathy.  They have good points.  I also know that  they have trouble with certain kinds of
conditions that don't respond well to single dose approaches.  The other drawback is that some
doctors may not feel like practicing classical homeopathy for 50 years to "get good at it".

I should add that simple prescribing for trauma, injuries and simple problems respond fantastic to
single-dose classical homeopathy.  I've seen many "miracles" over the years.  I had a patient who was
almost in tears from migraine pain tell me that she would have to suffer with her migraine for at least 2
days.  I put two pellets under her tongue and the migraine left in 5 minutes.  I had a 90 year old patient
who had just sustained a triple fracture of the lower extremity. While I was developing her X-ray, she
started going into shock.  I put two little pellets under her tongue and she snapped out of it in about 60
    seconds.  I couldn't believe it!

There are many excellent books available on the market and they can sometimes be life savers....
literally.  Anyone with some study can become expert at using remedies in simple cases.  Chronic
disease is a whole other matter.  Leave that to the very knowledgeable homeopathic doctors.  They
aren't real plentiful, but they can be found.

WARNING

When you Google homeopathy you will see many sites talking about how homeopathy is unscientific,
unproven, and down-right quackery.  These articles are written by seemingly very smart and well
credentialed folks.  So what's going on you might ask?

One of the problems we've already addressed under the Acupuncture page under the heading,  Are
You Dialectical or Dichotomous?   Another problem involves certain people not being capable of
understanding the spirituality of man. They can only see what's in front of them and it better be
explainable in their terms using their own peculiar little belief systems, measured with their own
collection of "scientific" instruments, which, will be in an antique museum in less than 5 years.  And yet
another problem is the skeptics background.  Usually, when they attack homeopathic medicines, you'll
notice that their background is in chemistry, or is chemistry based.  No wonder they think homeopathic
medicines are quackery.  The science of homeopathy is EXTREMELY complex and deals with
quantum physics at the highest level as well as how water can store information by the reconfiguring of
the hydrogen bonds with the water molecule.  This is all based on a lecture given at the 1ST congress
of the HUNGARIAN HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, BUDAPEST, 9-10 NOVEMBER
1996........WHAT CAN SCIENCE DO FOR HOMEOPATHY?

I was also VERY fortunately to have attended a lecture by one of the top physicists in the world....
professor Fritz Albert Popp.  He conducted experiments that showed changes in biophotons coming off
of an onion tip when different homeopathic remedies were placed on it.

Sensitive equipment proved years ago that homeopathic remedies affect living organisms. Yet, you'll
still see people talking about homeopathy like it's witchcraft.  I think this phenomenon is even MORE
interesting than the science of homeopathy itself. (remember, my first love was psychology and I
eventually received a degree in it at the University of Illinois.)

And one more interesting note.  All the skeptics constantly rant about homeopathy being nothing but
placebo.  Well OF COURSE there is a placebo effect in homeopathy.  There is a placebo effect in
everything.  But here's the kicker.  Homeopathy works miracles with animals.  And what about plants
and trees healing with homeopathic medicines?  Placebo?

So How Did I Choose The Correct Homeopathic Remedies For My Patients?

As I mentioned, I started out choosing medicines based on classical prescribing.  At the bottom of this
page I will include some excellent resource books and texts I used to use.  Later, I found that Applied
Kinesiology, or muscle testing was very helpful.  I would use various systems that had quantified
specific "body points" which correlated to various organs and organ systems.  These were various
types of reflex points, not traditional acupuncture points.  Occasionally I would use "Leg Length
Testing", which is not widely known, but is actually thousands of years old, and very accurate.

A few years later, I was attending a Sacral Occipital Technique/Craniopathic seminar in Omaha,
Nebraska.  There was a dentist on stage who was demonstrating how one could actually move the
bones around in the face and mouth.  He would take an impression of his daughter's teeth while she
was on stage with him, then she would be adjusted by doctor trained in craniopathic medicine.  Then,
another dental impression would be made and the changes could be measured with a ruler, showing
3 or 4 millimeters of movement.  This was rather amazing in and of itself.  But I digress.  While we were
waiting for the dental material to harden, the dentist told a story about how he almost had to quit his
practice due to extreme fatigue.  He said he could only work each day until noon.  The medical
profession came up with heart trouble, but couldn't tell him why or what to do about it.

A good friend of his told him about E.A.V. (electro-acupuncture according to Voll)  This dentist said that
they told him his heart problem was being caused by a tetanus germ inside one of his teeth.  He said
he found this almost impossible to believe, but, being desperate, followed their instructions.  Long
story short, he was healed and went back to work full time.  He then told us, if we ever have an
opportunity to learn E.A.V., do it!  I had nothing to write on, so I frantically wrote the letter "E A V" on my
hand.  This sounded fascinating to me.  Just think, a machine that is so accurate, it can even find a
    tetanus germ....by name....in a specific tooth!
Needless to say, within a few months I had the equipment and was taking training seminars with it.
And yes, it changed my practice forever.  Today, this technology has become fairly common and is now
referred to as E.D.S. (electro-dermal screening). http://www.healthy.net/scr/article.asp?ID=1085    and
    also see  http://www.besthealth.com.au/EAVexplained.htm

After using E.A.V. in my practice for about 5 years I added in several other electronic diagnostic
systems, for example, VEGA test.  I used E.A.V. along with VEGA test from about 1982 to 2007.  These
were not the only devices used in my practice.  They will be discussed on other pages.
